History
Since the establishment of De Mercuur in 1952, a lot has changed. Not only have we grown enormously, but innovation has also made huge strides. All these investments contribute to our philosophy: the One-Stop-Source philosophy. Read below what we have achieved over the past years.
The foundation
October 1, 1952, the founding of “forceer- en verlichtingsindustrie de mercuur” in amsterdam.
1st cnc spinning machine
We reached our first milestone in 1986. that’s when we bought our 1st spinning machine, which has now grown to nine systems.
Relocation
In 1992 we moved from the heart of Amsterdam to the industrial area ‘Sloterdijk-Westpoort’, where we are still located today. Meanwhile, the building was expanded in 1999 and 2013.
First robot
We bought our first robot for cutting the blanks in 2002.
Name change
We bought our first robot for cutting the blanks in 2002.
Second robot
The second robot came in 2006 as a metal spinning system. This allowed us to produce unmanned and 7×24. We currently have ten of these robots.
